Florida landscapes reward careful attention: a cloud reflected across still water, the shape of a dune, the rhythm of surf or the last color after sunset. Our planned Florida landscape photography workshops are designed to help you see those relationships and make deliberate choices with your camera.
Neal Nachman and Liz Stokes are developing small-group experiences around changing light and practical field instruction. Typically 4–6 photographers, depending on the destination, itinerary, transportation, and applicable permit requirements. Every Florida experience is completely land-based.
Coastal Light, Wetlands and Florida Atmosphere
Potential settings include Gulf Coast beaches, dunes viewed from permitted access areas, wetlands, reflections and moss-draped environments. We are evaluating locations for photographic value, legal commercial access, walking requirements and the space a small group needs.
Sunrise, sunset and blue hour offer different creative possibilities. A workshop might work with a dramatic sky, soft overcast detail or simple shapes when the color is quiet. Weather and light vary; no particular sky or natural condition is promised.
Make More Intentional Landscape Photographs
Build compositions through foreground choice, subject placement and the relationship between near and distant elements.
Compare lens choices, camera height and framing before settling on a viewpoint.
Work with exposure, depth of field and focus placement to support your intended result.
Explore shutter speed and long exposure for moving water or clouds when conditions suit.
Understand when a polarizer or neutral-density filter may help, and when a simpler approach is better.
Use reflections, texture, changing color and blue-hour tones as compositional elements.
A Photography-Centered Pace
We aim to allow time to develop a scene and ask questions. Final itineraries will describe session length, walking, terrain and breaks. Conditions may require a different viewpoint or location, and published trip details will explain the approach to weather and itinerary changes.
Land-Based Florida, Including Private Options
No boats, pontoon boats, airboats or boat-based excursions are used. Photography takes place from appropriate land-access areas. Tell us about your preferred pace and mobility needs before a trip is selected; accessibility depends on the specific site and cannot be assumed.
A private Florida photography experience may suit one photographer or a pair seeking a tailored focus. Group and private concepts remain in development, with no paid booking currently open.
Explore 2027 tour concepts, meet Neal and Liz, or read the tour FAQs. Share your interests through Early Access so we can develop experiences around the subjects and seasons that matter to you.
Joining is free. No payment is collected, and joining does not reserve a place or guarantee availability. Tour details may change.
Explore Florida Destination Concepts
All six destination experiences are in development and land-based only: no boats, pontoons or airboats. Follow a destination for its photography focus and planned experience, then select your interests in free Early Access.
