Central Florida offers a setting for building wildlife photography skills around observation rather than constant movement. This developing tour would examine how birds use wetland edges and open habitat, with particular interest in raptors and action when encountered. The proposed experience is entirely land-based and balances tighter wildlife frames with environmental images that show the character of the habitat.

LAND-BASED ONLY — NO BOATS. Field sessions use approved land-access locations. No boat, pontoon or airboat excursions are part of this experience.
Instruction would explore autofocus area choices, tracking technique and shutter speed decisions for birds in motion. We would also consider when to stop tracking and compose a quieter environmental portrait. Reading behavior from a respectful distance can help photographers anticipate an opportunity without baiting, calling or otherwise influencing the subject.
Raptors, wading birds, waterfowl and other wetland birds are proposed interests. Feeding, flight and other behavior may offer photographic opportunities, but no species or action sequence is promised. Reeds, water, sky and wetland textures can provide context when wildlife remains distant or inactive.
Neal Nachman and Liz Stokes are developing small-group experiences around careful observation, personal field instruction and a fine-art perspective. We plan time to work a composition, respond to changing light and discuss camera technique. The final host team and group limit will be stated with the released itinerary and will depend on permits, transport and practical field conditions.
Wildlife welfare and care for the landscape shape our approach. We will use appropriate viewing distances, respect closures and other visitors, and avoid disturbing animals or sensitive habitat. The goal is thoughtful photography with room to learn, rather than a promise of a particular natural event.
The concept begins with field orientation and camera-setting preparation, then allows sustained observation at suitable authorized land-access areas. Sessions may move between action practice and habitat composition as conditions change. A break for reviewing focus and exposure results would help participants make practical adjustments before the next field session.
This is a planning framework. Locations, session order and subjects may change for weather, wildlife activity, access, permits, road conditions, safety and photographic opportunity. No exact shooting stops or departure dates are confirmed.
Committed beginners, intermediate photographers and advanced photographers can express interest. Participants should be able to operate their own camera and carry the equipment needed for the final itinerary. Field guidance will address composition, exposure and technique, with time for individual questions. Tell us about your experience and walking considerations; exact terrain, distances, pace and accessibility will be described before reservations open.
Bring a telephoto lens you can support comfortably and a standard zoom for habitat scenes. Spare batteries and memory cards are helpful for action work, but selective shooting and review remain part of the learning process. Sun protection, water and appropriate footwear will be needed; exact route and carrying requirements are still being established.
Operating locations will be evaluated for safe viewing distances, commercial permissions, group limits and practical access. Water levels, weather and bird activity may change what is photographable. We will not approach nests or use techniques that disturb wildlife. All field sessions use land access, with no boats, pontoons or airboats.
